What We Do

As music therapists we use music every day to facilitate therapy and bring about change to people; as Tempo Rubato music therapists we believe that every human being has an innate ability to respond and connect to music and a hidden potential waiting to be unlocked.

At Tempo Rubato, we use live improvised music in sessions to enable the music to reflect and develop with our clients, moment-to-moment, in the here and now.  By positively encouraging and celebrating what is possible rather than focusing on the "impossible",  we give our clients the freedom to explore who they are and encourage them to be curious of the environment around them.

Music creates a safe environment for us to gently awaken from our protective slumber and gives us to strength to surpass our limitations.
